Kennedy Center Show to Feature National Symphonic Orchestra & Surprise Guests in Special Tribute to “Pet Sounds” – July 19th

“America’s Band,” The Beach Boys, will bring their iconic sounds throughout North America as they set out on their 50 Years of Good Vibrations tour. This tour references the band’s 1966 track, “Good Vibrations,” widely considered one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of rock and roll – which celebrates its 50th Anniversary, October 10th. The tour, which features the band’s biggest hits and beloved fan favorites, will continue throughout 2016.
In celebration of July 4th, The Beach Boys will perform a special show at New York’s famed Coney Island Boardwalk. Additionally, on July 19th at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., The Beach Boys will play with the National Symphony Orchestra, joined by surprise guests, as part of a special performance honoring the 50th Anniversary of the band’s landmark album, “Pet Sounds.” More dates are expected to be added as the tour rolls on.
The Beach Boys’ new tour comes at a particularly prolific time in the life of Beach Boys co-founder and lead singer, Mike Love, who will release his memoir, September 13th. Love’s book entitled GOOD VIBRATIONS: My Life as a Beach Boy, will be published by Blue Rider Press, a member of Penguin Group (USA). The book is co-written with Jim Hirsch, a former reporter for the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Hirsch has written bestselling books including: Hurricane: The Miraculous Journey of Rubin Carter and Willie Mays: The Life, The Legend.
